Summer is almost here and we all remember the song that was written by Howard Johnson, Billy Moll, and Robert A. K. King that says "I Scream You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream". Everyone loves the moment when they pass by an ice cream shop to buy one. YumReads visited the Dolata treat shop to find out about the different cones and flavors at the Sheikh Zayed branch.

With their 100% Italian Gelato flavors, you can never go wrong with Dolato. Even if you have sensitive teeth, are vegetarian, or are even diabetic, you will find what suits you in Dolato. Besides, Dolato has 6 different types of ice cream that are gluten-free.

Shady Samir, Manager of the Dolato branch in the Walk of Cairo narrated that Dolato opened its first branch in Egypt in March 2020 and since that, it changed the Egyptian mindset about gelato. Dolato brought the Italian gelato that originated in their culture with its delicious taste with various ingredients, and taste. He stated that the creamy products are “manufactured in the Dolato factory in Italy and transferred to Egypt to be distributed to the branches”.

Samir highlighted that they are selling gelato, not ice cream, differentiating between both of them that gelato is low in fats, more creamy, and packed with flavors. In addition, they add natural fruits to their flavors noting that Dolato was the first to introduce the idea of the Mini Sticks that spreads the joy of gelato. However, they sell gelato biscuits, waffles, brownies, mini sponge cake, and cookies too.

The Dolato manager said that “in each season we add special gelatos to be up-to-date. For example, in the potato season, we serve Hot Sweet Potato topped with melted gelato and salted caramel sauce” referring to the fact that such a treat contributed to their fame among the people.

Samir continued, “We have previously reached the Guinness Book of Records, where there was a competition about tasting the strangest foods from ice cream, and a contestant won by introducing her to 16 products of ours in less than a minute”. He added that the flavors of the competition were customized for the competition and they used vegetables to make it a bit difficult, “hoping to repeat this competition again”.

Dolato Flavors:

In Summer, they add:

Matcha, Kiwi-boat, Limoncello (crazy for lemons), Rockmelon, Blackberry, Dolato Passion, Giardino, and Rose.

One of the treat shop visitors expressed her happiness while licking the gelato saying that “they have mini sticks perfectly selected for gelato lovers recommending those who did not try Dolato yet to start with Pistachio, Mystic, caramel and lemon flavors.
