Kazaz Restaurant: King of Lentils Soup

Soup lovers, grab your spoons. Kazaz Restaurant, an Egyptian restaurant in 30 Al Bostan Al Seidi, Marouf, Abdeen, Cairo Governorate, has an amazingly delicious lentil soup. It is served with their secret mixture which YumReads to find all about it. Walid Youssef, Kazaz Restaurant manager, said that the “lentil soup is a traditional dish that is highly sought after, especially in the winter season, because it gives a feeling of warmth and satiety”. Youssef added that lentil soup is considered a saturated meal at an average price and is available to everyone. It is also served with toasted bread as people can eat it like a Fattah or with onions to pour over the soup to add a delicious taste. “We take into consideration that everyone loves it in his own way and we need to satisfy every taste”. Youssef highlighted that “our famous one is the lentil soup with garlic and vinegar” noting that they do not serve the Fattah lentil soup because most of their customers dine at home, so if “We sent it take-away it will lose its shape and people eat with their eyes at the beginning before tasting”. “In Kazaz restaurant, in winter we usually call it a lentil festival” because of the great demand for it, said Youssef. However, in summer, the most requested food item is Shawarma. Kazaz restaurant has only 2 branches and a factory at El-Obour city where they transfer everything from it to the 2 branches as they are considered outlets.
