An Authentic Taste of Syria in Akleh at Egypt

Lovers of Syrian food, cheer! For authentic Syrian mealtime, the Syrian restaurant “Akleh” serves unique Syrian dishes in Mohandeseen in Cairo. Established by Syrian owner, Mohamed Khaled, Akleh Mohandeseen Branch Manager said that “the owner is highly experienced in cooking various meals, and his main target goal when he opened this restaurant is to ensure the quality of the meals served”. Khaled added that “our motto is “taste the difference in Akleh” as our meat is not frozen and it is 100% pure meat highlighting that this did not affect the prices which are still affordable to Syrian food lovers in Egypt. He mentioned that their best-served dish is Chicken Fattah Shawarma and that their menu includes a variety of best-selling desserts like Basbosa with Cream Manakeesh. One of the staff members in the restaurant said that the Manakeesh differs from person to person, and each person according to his favorite flavor, and “I recommend to the person who tries it for the first time, to start with Labneh with lemon and thyme because it has a lighter taste than cheese, however the best seller in Akleh is the halloumi manakeesh”. It is worth mentioning that “Akleh” restaurant has four branches which are located in Mohandeseen, Sheikh Zayed, Third Settlement, and Shubra (Sahel). One of Akleh's visitors described his visit for the first time to the restaurant that “the food is authentic and of good quality”. Another visitor who tried the restaurant many times before said laughingly that “it travels well”.
